Material

A4 steel
very low magnetic activity, chemically resistant, fairly costly
→ preferred material for screws in the experiment
Zinc plated mild steel
cheap, strong ferromagnetism, screws tend to stick exsessively in aluminium threading after a few weeks
→ avoid close to atom experiments and in aluminium
Polyamid (PA)
electrical insulator, thermal insulator, mechanically weak - in particular smallish sizes (M4 and below), tends to give over time
→ not recommended. Better solutions involve polymer washers and/or ceramics
