===== gEDA for MS-Windows ===== The gEDA suite was developed for Linux. Still, it is possible to run its applications on MS-Windows. After significant effort by a number of programmers, the windows version of the major gEDA tools are in pretty good shape. DJ Delorie regularily compiles windows binaries of the tools and offers them [[http://www.delorie.com/pcb/geda-windows/|for download]]. Klaus Zipfel took the binaries and used [[http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inno_Setup|Inno-Setup]] to assemble an installer for MS-Windows: ? most current: : {{:schaltungsentwurf:geda-20130122.zip|geda-20130122.zip}} (31,5 MB). {{:schaltungsentwurf:license.txt|license.txt}} ? older: : {{:schaltungsentwurf:geda-20120716.exe|geda-20120716.exe}} (43 MB). {{:schaltungsentwurf:readme.txt|readme.txt}}, {{:schaltungsentwurf:license.txt|license.txt}} The installer contains: - gaf ("gschem and friends", i.e. gschem, gnetlist, gerbv, gattrib,...) - pcb (the layout GUI) - symbol and footprint libraries of the ElektronIQ - a set of config files that are supposed to make all this work out of the box Here is a gzipped tarball of geda for MS windows: {{:schaltungsentwurf:geda_for_windows_build-20140418b.tar.gz|}}\\ This is just the binaries freshly downloaded and cross compiled on a linux desktop. No installer, no library, no config files. For feedback --> Mail to ==== Sources ==== These are the sources which were cross compiled on linux to yield the binaries for the above windows installer: {{filelist>media/fertigung/geda/sources_for_windows/*&style=table&tableheader=1&tableshowdate=1&tableshowsize=1}}
