===== gEDA for MS-Windows =====
The gEDA suite was developed for Linux. Still, it is possible to run its applications on MS-Windows. After significant effort by a number of programmers, the windows version of the major gEDA tools are in pretty good shape. 
DJ Delorie regularily compiles windows binaries of the tools and offers them [[http://www.delorie.com/pcb/geda-windows/|for download]]. Klaus Zipfel took the binaries and used [[http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inno_Setup|Inno-Setup]] to assemble an installer for MS-Windows:

The installer contains:
  - gaf ("gschem and friends", i.e. gschem, gnetlist, gerbv, gattrib,...)  
  - pcb (the layout GUI)
  - symbol and footprint libraries of the ElektronIQ
  - a set of config files that are supposed to make all this work out of the box

This is just the binaries freshly downloaded and cross compiled on a linux desktop. No installer, no library, no config files.
